The Full Story

FRS Machining was founded in March 2022 by Eric and Valerie, a husband-and-wife team deeply rooted in the principles of hard work, integrity, and family. The name “FRS” pays tribute to their grandfathers—Frank, Ralph, Sandor, and Stanley—whose dedication and values inspired the foundation of the company. These family ties are at the heart of everything we do, shaping our commitment to quality, trust, and partnership.After nearly 25 years in manufacturing and as Chair of the Machining Department at the Community College of Denver, Eric sought a better work-life balance and a chance to create something lasting for future generations.

Together, Eric and Valerie acquired Thayer Manufacturing and transformed it into FRS Machining, combining their shared vision and expertise to build a company that reflects their family-centric ethos.

Since then, FRS Machining has grown with a focus on nurturing relationships—both within our team and with our customers. Starting from the ground up, we’ve built a skilled team of seven professionals who share our dedication to quality and care. Our shift from a prototype-heavy workflow to a balanced production model reflects our drive for consistency and operational efficiency, enabling us to deliver exceptional value while upholding the precision and reliability our customers trust.

While the journey hasn’t been without its challenges, we’ve embraced each one with the resilience and determination instilled by our family values. Leadership

Eric J. Miller is a seasoned CNC manufacturing professional with over two decades of experience in machining, programming, and manufacturing education. A passionate advocate for precision and innovation in CNC processes, Eric excels in programming, operating, and troubleshooting CNC mills, lathes, and advanced machining systems. His expertise extends to leveraging state-of-the-art software like Fusion 360, Mastercam, SolidWorks, and Vericut to deliver optimized manufacturing solutions.

Eric's career spans diverse roles, including CNC Programmer and Machinist at System 76, where he drives process improvements using cutting-edge technologies, and Department Chair at the Community College of Denver, where he developed and instructed advanced CNC machining curricula. His contributions as an educator have equipped the next generation of machinists with the skills to succeed in a competitive industry.

Notable achievements include certifications in Heidenhain TNC Operations, NIMS CNC Programming and Operations, and AS9100 compliance. Eric's dedication to quality and efficiency has been demonstrated through his extensive work with precision machining materials, such as titanium, carbon steel, and aluminum, and his commitment to ensuring every project exceeds industry standards.

With a passion for pushing the boundaries of CNC technology, Eric combines technical expertise with a relentless drive to innovate, making him a trusted leader in the manufacturing sector.

Valerie Pritchet brings a unique combination of expertise in veterinary technology, clinical laboratory science, and customer service to her business endeavors. With a Bachelor’s in Biology and an Associate’s in Veterinary Technology, she has built a career rooted in technical excellence and client-focused solutions. Valerie’s experience spans leadership in laboratory operations, including assay development, quality control, and mentoring, as well as hands-on expertise in veterinary care and customer relations.

Her ability to streamline operations, implement innovative solutions, and foster team collaboration makes her a standout leader and entrepreneur. With a strong foundation in precision-driven industries, Valerie is dedicated to delivering exceptional outcomes and driving the success of her business ventures.
